Link your business to access our online services

Together, myGovID and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) allow you to access online services on behalf of your business, e.g: Online services for business and the Australian Business Register.

Small businesses, including sole traders, can now link their business to their myGovID online in RAM.

The first step is to set up a myGovID with a Strong identity strength. A Strong identity strength gives greater assurance over who is transacting on behalf of your business and better protects your identity.

To set up a Strong myGovID you need to verify:

  • 2 identity documents; one must be an Australian passport

  • your photo – this one-off face verification scan checks you’re a real person, the right person and verifies you in real-time.

Principal authorities who are already linked to the ABN in RAM will be notified by email when a new principal authority links to the ABN. This provides more visibility over who is acting on behalf of your business.

Once linked, you can access our online services on behalf of your business. You can also authorise employees and other individuals in RAM to act on behalf of your business online.

If you’re unable to set up a Strong myGovID (for example if you don't have an Australian passport), there are alternative ways to link your business in RAM.
